What allodic is

allodic is open-source software, released under the MIT License. It provides a self-hosted registry, storefront, checkout integration, and verification tooling for Agent Skills. This website provides the software's documentation.

As the MIT License states, the software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind — express or implied, including the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and noninfringement. You run it at your own risk and are responsible for how you deploy and operate it.

What allodic is not

  • Not a marketplace. There is no central catalog, no listing service, and no allodic-operated store. Every registry is operated independently by the publisher who runs it.
  • Not a party to any sale. When a buyer purchases a skill from a publisher's registry, that transaction is between the buyer and the publisher, on the publisher's own payment account. allodic and its maintainers are not the merchant of record, take no part of the transaction, and cannot issue, reverse, or refund payments.
  • Not the publisher's compliance department. Publishers are solely responsible for the content they sell, the claims they make, their taxes, their refund handling, their buyers' data, and their compliance with the laws that apply to them and their customers.
  • Not a guarantee of skill quality or safety. The three publish gates (standards compliance, benchmarks, safety scanning) are mechanical, reproducible checks — they meaningfully raise the floor, but no static scan or benchmark proves software is free of defects or safe for every use. Buyers should use allodic verify and their own judgment, exactly as the documentation says.

Trademarks and names

"allodic" refers to this open-source project. Publishers running allodic software operate their own brands and are not endorsed by or affiliated with the project unless they say otherwise — and they shouldn't say otherwise.

Security

Vulnerability reports are welcome and handled per SECURITY.md.

These terms may be revised as the project evolves; the change history is public in the allodic-web repository.
